2012-2018
TWA (Third Wall Academy) was a 6 year project in partnership between 100 Watt Productions and Third Wall Theatre. It was Ottawa's only young company connected to professional theatre companies. From September to June, TWA ensemble actors trained with Kristina Watt & Third Wall's Resident Acting Company. The ensemble then rehearsed towards a public production at the end of June, presented as part of 100 Watt's & Third Wall's season. Kristina Watt was the Artistic Director, James Richardson the Producer.
2017-18 Company: Kosta, Madison, Ioana, Katarina, Caitlin, Rosa, Marianna, Sarah, Cassidy, Kareila, Alexandra.
In only 6 years, TWA alumni are now in flight: at post-secondary institutions such as the National Theatre School, Ryerson, PACE, Concordia, Studio 58, University of Ottawa and York. Alumni have been cast at the GCTC, NAC, the Magnetic North Theatre Festival and are producing their own work, e.g. Tiny Dynamite at Ottawa Fringe; In-between at Fresh Meat Festival.
